My Baby!

Let's just start by noticing that my "baby" finally has enough hair for a ponytail! Thanks, Deanna.

Bigger still, I took Ally to school today and for the first time she didn't cry when I left. In fact, she didn't even notice my leaving. She clung a little bit, then noticed an intriguing toy, and off she went. It's adorable to watch her toddle down the hall after her teacher, but I sort of miss the complete dependence.

Today was a big day for Sam, too. We have been working for such a very long time on getting her to eat that it seems strange and miraculous to be able to say this, but the focus of her OT sessions has changed to SELF-feeding. She is eating a sufficient variety and quantity of table foods that we have switched her from her super-concentrated formula to whole milk. And while she finds it really, really(, really) frustrating, she can actually begin to load up her own fork or spoon and lift it to her mouth. That's our next big hurdle. WOO HOO!!!!!!
