We are so excited that Sam has really started to read. She can tell you what sounds all the letters make and in many cases can sound out words. We are having some hydrocephalus-related issues where she can do something one day, but not the next, so every time she does it I get very excited.
Recently, she was sitting in the kitchen while I cooked. She had taken the label maker out of my office and was messing around with it. As she played, she asked, "Mommy, does 'stop' have a 't' in it?" Without thinking about it, I answered and moved on. A few minutes later, she handed me a printed label with the word "stop" on it. I'm not sure if that was a message, but it's pretty cool that she could do it!
