Our girls had such a blast on Valentine's Day! And it was so cute to hear Ally try to say "Happy Valentine's Day, Mama!" The girls got spoiled rotten from the 13th, when Mr. Keith and Ms. Karen came by to bring special goodies, all the way through their school parties, to joining us for dinner (with live music) at 7 Leaguas. Sam even got a high five from the singer on our way out the door.
The whole day just made my heart sing. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors, such an amazing school, and even a fantastic place to take the girls for dinner. The hostesses just cheer when they see Sam walking so well, and are so delighted that the girls are learning to say a few words in Spanish. God has definitely put us in the perfect place for us, right down to the last detail.
Here are a couple of pictures from the girls' school parties, which I was privileged to be able to help out with.
and here's a bonus shot. I just loved this new outfit on Ally. Thanks, Grandma!
I let Ally stay home from school today. She's been tired and cranky, and not sleeping well at night. It seems to have been just what the doctor ordered. She slept in (well, after her 6 am snack she went back to bed for a couple of hours) and was like a new child by nightfall after two trips to the park in the beautiful weather today. She and Sam went to the park with a couple of Sam's classmates after school, and apparently one of the boys was trying to get Sam to jump off of the bottom of the slide and she was about to TRY IT!
