The girls are still recovering from last weekend! Between Ally's birthday celebration on Friday and our friend Sophie's awesome party Saturday, they were WORN OUT. Farmor and Papa G will come on Saturday and we'll start the cycle all over again!
Including a few pix from Sophie's party. The event was held at an amazing local sports/rec facility called Villa Sport. Wow. I heard someone murmuring "This is like the Y on steroids". There was a huge play center with climbing structure that the kids played on to start the party. We then moved to the karaoke room (most of the kids were in the 5 y/o range - very cute). Their staff then facilitated a little "science" project (we made slime) and hosted a wonderful lunch for the kids. I was so proud of the girls. They were some of the youngest there, but they jumped right into the festivities. They were polite and well-behaved. They made mommy SOOO proud. They got a little intimidated, but they buddied up and braved their way through with no tears and no melt-downs.
I think this was my favorite part. This was the karaoke, and it got a little loud and intimidating, so Ally scooted over to Sam and reached for her hand. Sam just held on tight. It was adorable - I so want my girls to be close when they get older, and this struck me as a good sign.
